Hello Bloggers, I hope all is going well under the circumstances.
Amid the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we want to make sure everyone is aware of a few steps that can be taken if you have any restaurants, plumbers, maintenance staff or other customers with Grease Guardians that are closed or have reduced operations.
If they are business as usual, no need to make any adjustments. The following message is also posted on our website: www.greaseguardianusa.com.
A Message From Grease Guardian:
As the outbreak of Covid-19 continues to dominate the headlines and businesses are being asked to suspend operations, please review these points to ensure your Grease Guardian is prepared for any closures.
- If your business is suspending operations during the current medical emergency, you can save energy by switching off the Grease Guardian. Doing so will not cause overflows or any dramatic issues. This will also ensure your machine is not skimming while staff is unable to empty the grease collection container.
- If there is still some activity in the kitchen but at a reduced level you can keep the unit on but lower the settings so the unit runs more efficiently. If you do not know how to do this please email us and we will send instructions, or visit the Grease Guardian USA YouTube video page.
- Lack of kitchen activity may result in stagnant grease and water in the unit. Thankfully, periodically flushing the unit through with the full capacity of the sinks, either a few times a week or upon return to work will almost immediately solve this issue. You may want to consider having the unit emptied during the closure.
IF YOU DO EMPTY UNIT, YOU MUST UNPLUG AT WALL. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS DISCONNECTED. YOU MUST REFILL WITH WATER BEFORE RETURNING POWER TO THE GREASE GUARDIAN.
Grease Guardian is here to support you during this time. Grease Guardian USA staff will continue to work remotely with a rotation of warehouse staff. This method ensures that any orders or questions related to any of our products can be answered in a safe and timely manner.
For any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Take Care and Stay Safe.
